Affiliate disclosure

Some of the outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer may pay this site a commission. The price you pay is exactly the same either way — the commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your wallet.

What that does and doesn’t change

• It doesn’t buy a good review. Specs are copied from the manufacturer’s own published figures. The “choose this one if” list is written the same way whether a product earns a commission or not.
• It doesn’t cover every link. Plenty of links here are plain, untracked URLs, either because the brand runs no affiliate program or because this site isn’t in it.
• Nothing here is bought placement. No brand pays to appear on this site or to be described a particular way.

Independence

Products are chosen because they’re worth writing about, not because of the commission rate. Where a commission rate would push toward a recommendation that doesn’t hold up, the recommendation wins.

Every product page carries the date its specs were last checked, and every brand page carries the date the affiliate program terms were last checked. Both go stale — treat the retailer’s own page as the source of truth for specs, price and availability.
