Choose this one if

  • Your shoulders will not tolerate a straight-bar back squat
  • You want a deep camber without a 60 to 85 lb bar
  • You have 93 inches of clear rack width

The detail

A 16.5-inch camber is deep — comparable to the Titan Rackable Camber Bar's 18 inches and far beyond the Fringe Longhorn's 3.75. Deep camber means the load hangs well below your shoulders and swings through the whole rep, so you brace continuously and a wandering bar path gets exposed immediately.

What is unusual is doing that at 40 lb. The Titan bar is 85 lb and the Rogue CB-4 is 60. Less bar weight means more of your total is plates, and it means the bar is manageable to carry and rack. It also means less steel resisting flex — worth knowing, though a 1.910-inch shaft is thick.

The reason most people buy a camber bar is hand position, not the swing. The sleeves sit forward of your shoulders, so you hold the bar in front of you rather than wrenched behind — which keeps you squatting when a straight bar no longer can. It reaches the same outcome as a safety squat bar by different geometry.

Ninety-three inches is the dimension to check before ordering. That is six and a half inches longer than a standard bar, and specialty bars routinely turn out not to clear a rack's uprights. Measure from J-cup to the outside of your rack.

The 15.625-inch loadable sleeve is generous for a specialty bar — most give you 13 or 14 — which matters on a bar loaded to squat weights.

Note the 1.910-inch sleeve is a strongman diameter, not 2-inch Olympic. Plates fit; standard collars may not.
