Choose this one if
- You want lat pulldowns at real weight and cable work with real travel
- You want both ratios permanently rather than swapping an adapter
- You have a 3x3 rack and 40 by 60 inches to give it
The detail
Two ratios in one machine, permanently, is the reason to look at this. The lat pulldown and low row run at 1:1 — 200 lb selected is 200 lb at the bar, no arithmetic — and the functional trainer runs at 2:1, which halves the load and doubles the travel for flyes, face pulls and rotational work.
Most towers pick one. The Bells of Steel cable tower gets there with a swappable adapter; this has both wired in, like Titan's 320 lb tower.
A 220 lb stack at 1:1 is a genuinely useful pulldown weight — well beyond the 250 lb cable ceilings on rack-mounted attachments, because here the number is what you actually pull.
Compatibility is broad and stated plainly: 3x3 racks with either 1-inch or 5/8-inch holes. That covers both major industry hole sizes, which is unusual — most attachments commit to one. It fits the Fringe Osprey and most 3x3 racks from other brands.
Sixty inches of depth is the number to plan around, and it is what a 1:1 pulldown needs — the stack has to travel far enough to move the bar.
At 93.5 inches tall this needs a genuine 8-foot ceiling with a little to spare.
A lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects is strong for a machine with cables and pulleys, where most brands offer 90 days on the wear parts.
Fringe does not publish the machine's own weight or the cable travel here. Travel is what determines whether a pulldown reaches full lockout — worth asking.
