  • You want to know exactly what handle you are getting at each weight
  • You want a range that starts at 4 kg and reaches 48

The detail

Publishing the handle diameter for every single weight is genuinely unusual, and it exposes something most brands hide: on a cast kettlebell range the handle thickens as the bell gets heavier, and it does not do so smoothly. Look at the list — 1.25 inches at 4 kg, 1.19 at 6, 1.33 at 8, 1.27 at 10. It goes up and down.

That is normal for cast bells, where each size is its own mould, and it is the fundamental difference from a competition kettlebell where the handle is identical at every weight. If you snatch or do long cycle, that consistency is why competition bells exist. If you swing, press and carry, cast bells are cheaper and the variation does not matter.

Powder-coated solid cast iron is the right construction for a cast bell. Powder coat holds chalk better than a gloss enamel and does not chip the way painted bells do. Solid means nothing filled or bonded to come apart.

A 4 kg to 48 kg range is genuinely wide. Four kilograms is a teaching and rehab weight that most ranges skip; 48 is heavy enough for anyone.

One year of warranty is short but largely academic on a solid iron casting — what it really covers is the coating.

Compare Fringe's own Savage kettlebells, which are rubber-coated rather than powder-coated — quieter and floor-friendly, at the cost of the bare-iron grip feel.
