The detail
Rubber coating is the difference from a bare or powder-coated bell, and it solves two practical problems: noise and floor damage. A 24 kg cast iron bell set down on tile, laminate or a garage slab is loud and leaves a mark. Rubber absorbs both.
The cost is grip feel. Bare and powder-coated iron — Fringe's own PRIME kettlebells — hold chalk and give the direct feel serious kettlebell lifters prefer. Rubber on the body does not affect the handle, so this matters less than it sounds; check whether the handle itself is coated before buying if grip is critical to you.
Publishing dimensions for every size is genuinely useful, and it shows the thing cast bells do: the 12 kg and 16 kg are the same size, 12 by 10 by 13 inches, and the range grows from there to 12.3 by 12.3 by 14.8 inches at 32 kg.
That growth is the fundamental difference from a competition bell, where every weight shares one shell. On a cast range the rack position changes as you go up, so technique does not transfer cleanly between weights. For swings, carries and presses that is fine; for snatches and long cycle it is why competition bells exist.
The range runs 12 to 32 kg, which is narrower than the PRIME line's 4 to 48. No light teaching weights, no very heavy bells.
Fringe does not publish handle diameter for the Savage range, which the PRIME listing does for every size. On a kettlebell the handle is what your hand actually experiences — worth asking for.
One year against manufacturer defect, which on solid cast iron really covers the coating.
