Choose this one if
- You own heavier PowerBlocks that the PowerStand cannot take
- You want the stand out of the way entirely between sessions
- You want somewhere to keep the adder weights
The detail
Two inches folded is the feature. The whole appeal of adjustable dumbbells is that they disappear, and a stand that occupies 18 by 17 inches permanently undermines that. This one folds flat and goes behind a door.
The capacity is what separates it from the PowerStand 2.0: 90 lb per dumbbell, 180 lb total, against the PowerStand's 50 lb limit. That means it takes the Elite USA 90, the Pro 90 EXP and the expandable models — the ones the PowerStand explicitly cannot hold. Check your model against PowerBlock's list before ordering; the compatibility here is specific rather than universal.
Adder weight storage is the detail owners will appreciate. PowerBlock's small adder weights are the parts that go missing — they come out of the block and end up under a bench. Having a place for them on the stand is the difference between using your 2.5 lb increments and forgetting you own them.
Twenty-five inches of clearance puts the blocks at roughly bench height, which is where you want them for a fast weight change without bending to the floor.
At 18 lb the stand itself is light, which is what makes folding it worthwhile — you can move it one-handed.
The tray is 16.4 by 7.4 inches and only half an inch deep, which is shallower than the PowerStand's 1.3-inch lip. Set the blocks down deliberately rather than dropping them on.
Five years of residential warranty matches PowerBlock's home dumbbell terms.
