The detail

If you train alone, safeties are the single most important thing you bolt to a rack. Everything else on it makes training better; these are what make a missed rep survivable rather than an emergency.

A 1,000 lb rating per pair matches the strongest safeties covered here — the REP Spotter Arms 2.0 and the Fringe 3x3 arms — and is well beyond what any home lifter will put on them.

Spotter arms rather than in-rack safeties give you half-rack behaviour: you lift outside the cage with the arms catching behind you, so nothing is beside your elbows and you can walk out of a squat freely. The trade is leverage — a loaded arm at the front of a rack is a lever trying to tip it, so bolt the MyRack down or use foot extensions if you are loading them heavily.

Fitment is the MyRack's own pattern: 2.4-inch square uprights with 5/8-inch pin holes. That is a Force USA size rather than the 3x3, 1-inch industry standard, so this is the attachment you buy for this rack and no other. The flipside is that it is guaranteed to fit, which generic arms are not.

Force USA does not publish the arm length, the usable landing zone, or whether the arms carry protective liners. Landing-zone length is what determines whether the arms actually catch a bar across a normal squat path, and liners are what stop a dropped bar flattening its own knurl against bare steel. Both are worth asking about before ordering.

The MyRack lat pulldown is the other attachment worth having on the same frame.
