Choose this one if
- You want thick-grip pull-ups without a second attachment
- You have a Rogue Infinity or Monster Lite rack with a drilled crossmember
- You want the bar raised above the rack rather than set into it
The detail
Two grip diameters on one fitting is the point: 1.25 inches standard and 2 inches fat. A standard bar is what you want for volume — thin enough that your grip is not the limit on a set of twelve. A 2-inch fat grip turns the same movement into forearm training, and it is what strongman and grip work actually demand. Owning both usually means two attachments and a swap; here it is one.
Mounting above the rack rather than into it is the other design decision. The Crown sits on a crossmember on a 38-inch plate, raising the bar 7.5 inches above the rack's top. In a room with a high ceiling that buys you the clearance to hang fully and to kip; in a low room it is the wrong attachment, because those 7.5 inches come out of your headroom.
At 40 lb of 0.375-inch-thick steel this is heavy for a pull-up bar, and that is what you want on something you will be swinging from. Mounting it is a two-person job.
Compatibility is specific: any Infinity or Monster Lite 43-inch or 70-inch crossmember with holes. Both of Rogue's main rack standards are covered, which means it fits the RML-390C, RML-690 and SML-2 among others — but the crossmember has to be a drilled one. Check yours before ordering.
Holes 2 inches on centre through the mounting plate give you some latitude in positioning it fore and aft on the rack.
