Choose this one if

  • You want a folding rack on Rogue's Monster Series standard
  • You want either a very shallow or a very deep cage, not a middle one
  • You have a wall that can take 190 lb plus your loaded bar

The detail

The depth choice here is unusually wide: 21.25 or 41.5 inches inside. That is not a small-versus-large decision, it is two different racks. Twenty-one inches is barely enough to squat and bench in — a genuinely minimal cage for a garage that has to clear. Forty-one and a half inches is deeper than most free-standing racks, with room to rack-pull, install attachments and move around inside.

Most folding racks give you one depth and you make it work. Being able to pick the extreme that suits your room is the reason to look at this one.

Monster Series rather than Monster Lite is the standard here, and it matters for attachments. Monster is Rogue's heavier line with a different hole size, so Monster Lite J-cups and strap safeties do not fit — the Monster spotter arms do. Get this right before buying accessories.

At 165 or 190 lb depending on depth, this is lighter than the RML-390F at 330 lb — a consequence of being a two-upright fold-back rather than a full four-post fold.

The wall does the work. Studs or masonry, correct fasteners, and the rack's weight plus your loaded bar all going into the structure. This is not a rack you put on drywall anchors.

Ninety and three-eighths inches tall needs a real 8-foot ceiling, clear through the fold arc as well as at rest.

Rogue does not publish a weight capacity in the Gear Specs. Get it in writing.
