Choose this one if

  • Straight-bar pull-ups bother your elbows or shoulders
  • You want neutral-grip chin-ups without another attachment
  • Your ceiling is low and a 6-inch drop mount helps

The detail

Neutral grip is the reason to buy a multi-grip bar. A straight pull-up bar fixes your forearms in pronation, and for people with cranky elbows or shoulders that position is where the pain lives. Palms facing each other usually solves it outright, with no loss of training effect — the lats do not care which way your hands face.

Four grip options from one crossmember — traditional, narrow, angled and neutral — means the same bar covers wide pull-ups for the lats, close and neutral chins for the biceps and mid-back, and angled positions for anyone whose wrists dislike the extremes.

The 32 mm grip is thicker than a standard pull-up bar's 1.25 inches, which spreads load across the hand and adds a little forearm work to every set. If you want the thinnest possible bar for maximum reps, that is a reason to prefer a plain 1.25-inch bar; if grip is something you want to train, 32 mm is a feature.

The 6-inch drop mount is the specification worth noticing in a low room. Mounting the bar below the top of the rack costs you ceiling but buys you the clearance to actually get your chin over it — which in a basement is the difference between doing pull-ups and doing bent-knee pull-ups.

At 20 lb it is substantial enough to feel solid rather than springy, and the non-slip paint on the grips is a sensible touch on a bar you hold with sweaty hands and no chalk.

Fitment is TITAN Series power racks with their 26 mm hole pattern, not the T-3 or X-3 lines.
