The detail
Two thousand pounds rackable is the highest figure here, ahead of the X-3, the T-3 at 1,100, and the Fringe Osprey at 1,200. The whole-rack figure of 10,000 lb is a structural rating rather than something you will test, but it tells you what the steel is.
A half rack is a different proposition from a cage. The uprights are behind you and the lifting happens in front of the rack rather than inside it — so you have no cage to bang your elbows on, room to swing a bar, and space for a machine or a bench that would not fit inside a four-post. The 16-inch inside rack depth is genuinely shallow because you are not meant to be standing in it.
The flat-foot base is the feature that makes that safe. A half rack loaded at the front wants to tip forward; the extended feet move the pivot point out past the load. Titan gives you the option to bolt down, and unlike most half racks it is genuinely optional. At 238 lb the rack has some mass of its own to help.
At 90.5 inches tall this needs a real ceiling — noticeably taller than the T-3 82x24. The 42-inch pull-up bar is full width, and at 1.25 inches diameter it is a "skinny" bar rather than a fat one, which most people prefer for volume.
Note the 26 mm hole size, which is Titan's TITAN Series pattern, not the 11/16-inch holes on the T-3 and X-3. Attachments do not cross between the lines — including the safety straps, which come in T-3 and X-3 versions of their own.
Sandwich J-hooks and a numbered, laser-cut hole pattern come as standard, which on other brands is an upcharge.
