Choose this one if

  • You have a TITAN Series rack with spare upright space
  • You want plates at arm's reach rather than across the room
  • You want to add ballast to a rack you have not bolted down

The detail

The best place to keep plates is on the rack, because that is where you load them. A plate tree across the room means carrying every plate twice; a horn on the upright means sliding it off and onto the bar without moving your feet.

Eleven and a quarter inches of loadable sleeve per horn is a genuine amount — roughly two bumpers or four to five iron plates each — and at 330 lb capacity per sleeve the pair holds a serious fraction of a plate collection.

There is a secondary benefit people underrate: weight on the rack is ballast. A few hundred pounds hanging off the uprights materially improves the stability of a rack you have not bolted into concrete, which matters on any rack you rack out of aggressively.

The 50 mm sleeve takes standard Olympic plates, and a rubber stopper at the base keeps the plate from grinding against the mount — the same reasoning as UHMW liners on a J-cup. It is the detail that keeps a plate's coating intact over years.

Bolt-on rather than pin-on means these stay where you put them, which is right for storage — you are not repositioning plate horns mid-session.

Fitment is TITAN Series racks with their 26 mm holes, mounting 4 inches on centre. They do not fit the T-3 or X-3 lines, which use 11/16-inch holes and have their own holders. Check your upright before ordering.
