The detail
190,000 PSI and a 1,500 lb rating puts this at the standard good bars hit, which is not always true of 15 kg bars — smaller bars are often specified down because the assumption is they will be loaded lighter. This one is not.
Made in the USA from American steel is unusual at this price and worth noting, since almost everything in this category is imported.
The 25 mm shaft is the entire reason to choose a 15 kg bar, and it is not really about the five kilos. Grip is what limits pulling long before your back or legs do, and a bar you cannot close your hand around costs reps that have nothing to do with strength. The same argument applies to the REP Colorado 15 and the Bells of Steel Juno.
No centre knurl at all is the right decision on a 15 kg bar. Centre knurl helps a low-bar squat and hurts everything else, and the front-rack position in a clean is where it is most unpleasant. Titan has committed, and the dual IWF and IPF marks keep the bar usable for both disciplines.
Medium volcano knurl matters more on a thin shaft than a thick one, because there is less surface to hold. Volcano grips without shredding — the correct compromise here.
The loadable sleeve is 11.75 inches, which is short: about two and a half bumpers per side. That is the real limitation of this bar, and it is shorter than the Colorado 15's 12.4. Pair it with thin plates if you load heavy.
At 79.5 inches the bar is six and a half inches shorter than standard, so check your J-cup spacing — a rack set for an 86-inch bar will hold it, but close to the uprights.
Bronze bushings mean moderate, durable spin rather than fast bearing spin.
