Choose this one if

  • You want a permanent rack but have no room for a cage
  • You would rather not deal with a folding mechanism at all
  • You squat and press facing out of the rack, not inside it

The detail

Twelve inches of inside depth is the whole design. You do not stand in this rack — you un-rack and step forward, using the room instead of the rack's interior. That makes it the shallowest permanent option here, and it removes the compromise a folding rack makes, which is a hinge and a mechanism that has to be right every session.

Against the folder, the trade is honest in both directions. This is always deployed and always 27 inches from the wall at the pull-up bar, so it never gives the floor back. In exchange there is nothing to unfold, nothing to mis-latch, and the safeties bolt into a fixed frame.

Structurally it is straight T-3: 2x3 inch 11-gauge uprights, 11/16 inch holes, 1,100 lb rackable and 4,400 lb for the whole rack. Same numbers as the T-3 cage, because it is the same steel — what changed is the geometry, not the material.

At 91 inches overall with an 87 inch pull-up bar, ceiling height decides whether this works at all. That is taller than most cages, so measure before ordering and remember you need clearance above the bar to actually use it.

The 113 lb weight is misleading in a good way: nearly all of it hangs off the wall once mounted, so the wall does the work. As with any wall-mounted rack, what you are really buying is the quality of your studs — this is only as solid as what it bolts to.
