Choose this one if

  • Your ceiling is too low to stand a 7-foot bar on end anywhere useful
  • You want bars visible and grabbable rather than filed away
  • You already have a TITAN Series rack with free upright space

The detail

This is the horizontal answer to the same problem the vertical holders solve, and the specs make the relationship obvious: identical 11-gauge steel, identical 51 mm sleeve, identical 6-inch mounting spacing, identical 8 lb each. What changes is the orientation, and with it the geometry of the room.

Height is the deciding factor. A vertical holder needs roughly 7 feet of clear space above the bracket, plus enough headroom to lift the bar over it. In a basement at 84 inches to the joists, that is not happening. Hung horizontally the bar sticks out from the rack instead of up from it, which trades ceiling for wall.

The bracket is wider — 8.5 inches across against the vertical version's 3 — because it has to cantilever the bar's weight sideways rather than stack it. That is also why the depth stays at 5.5 inches: Titan is keeping the load close to the upright where the moment arm is short.

The bar hangs by its sleeve, not its shaft, which is the correct choice. Knurl sitting on steel gets flattened over months, and a flat spot in the knurl is permanent.

Same caveat as the vertical version: the 6-inch spacing is a TITAN Series pattern and will not automatically fit the T-3 or X-3 lines, which have their own holders. Measure your upright's hole spacing before ordering.
