The detail
Seventeen hundred pounds is the highest safety rating on this site, ahead of the 1,000 lb figures on the REP, Fringe and X-3 strap equivalents. On the part standing between you and a loaded bar, more margin is straightforwardly better.
Flip-down is the design that gets safeties actually used. Pin-and-pipe safeties come out when the rack is needed for something else and never go back in. These fold up against the upright, so they are always there.
The quick pins that prevent rotation are the specification to notice. A safety bar that can rotate under an off-centre impact is a safety bar that can dump the load; positively pinning it against rotation is the difference between a catch and an incident. Titan calls this out explicitly, which most manufacturers do not.
Doubling as a pulling platform is a genuinely useful second job — set both safeties low and you have a raised surface for rack pulls or deficit work, without a separate platform.
A 34 by 3 inch working surface is enough to catch a bar anywhere in a normal squat or bench path, and the plastic liner keeps a dropped bar from flattening its own knurl against bare steel. That damage is permanent, so the liner earns its place.
At 22.5 lb each these are heavy — that is 3-inch, 11-gauge steel — and hanging them is a two-hand job.
Fitment is TITAN Series 90-inch or 100-inch power racks, not the T-3 or X-3 lines. Check your rack before ordering.
