Choose this one if

  • You want a rack you will keep adding to for years
  • You want 3/4-inch hardware rather than the usual 5/8 or 1 inch
  • You can and will bolt it into the floor

The detail

Three-quarter-inch hardware is the specification that separates this from the home-gym norm. Most 3x3 racks use 5/8-inch or 1-inch pins; Monster Lite is 5/8, the industry standard is 1 inch. Three-quarters is a commercial-equipment size, and it changes what the attachments are made of as much as what fits.

That also means the attachment ecosystem is American Barbell's own. A 3x3 upright with 3/4-inch holes will not take Rogue, Titan or generic 1-inch accessories. You are buying into one manufacturer — the same trade as Force USA's MyRack, at a heavier standard.

"Must be anchored to the floor" is stated flatly, and it is not optional. A 75-inch-deep rack with modular storage is designed on the assumption that the floor takes the moment. If you rent, or have a floor you will not drill, this is the wrong rack — a flat-foot design is what solves that.

Seventy-five inches of depth is a lot, and it is where the modular storage lives. Compare 53 to 62 inches on most four-post cages. Measure honestly: this is more than six feet front to back.

Plastic protection on both sides of the J-hooks is the right detail — that is what keeps a loaded bar from flattening its own knurl and scratching the upright.

Ten multi-use pins, a pull-up bar and J-hooks are included, which on many racks is a shopping list rather than a box.

American Barbell does not publish a weight capacity for this rack. On 3x3 11-gauge with 3/4-inch hardware there is little doubt, but get the figure in writing if you lift heavy.
